October '19 : Only just completed and sold to the first customer on our Kilim waiting list ! It's a long and complicated upholstery job to get the right pattern balance and general symmetry with kilim rugs, and we have to 'back' the kilim with a black calico lining to reinforce the traditional slitweave nature of the material.

The rugs used for this pair are from a batch purchased during our last trip to Istanbul in September. We have good contacts with kilim rug wholesalers, generally Kurdish guys who know the business inside out !

We have another pair 'on the bench', expected to be completed the week beginning 4th November.
