This classic early 20th Century French Leather Chair, typically having been kept in declining but original condition by it's Gallic owners, is ready for some attention.

Leather Chairs of Bath use similar traditional upholstery and hand-dyeing techniques to those that would have been used to make this chair in about 1930 - 1940.

Our immediate thoughts would be to restore it to original condition and colour, but other options are available.

October update: I have added a picture of the chair after restoration. We followed the instructions of the client who commissioned the chair to be restored in a particular way - paler leather and black, contrast piping. A tough old job in the end as the frame needed plenty of attention before the reupholstery could begin.
